Our Commitment to Your Privacy: Clear, Direct, and Actionable.

At Glowvia, we clean homes and offices in Bogotá. We do not data-mine, profile, or sell your personal information. This document outlines exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you control it.

Our privacy approach is built on the same principles as our cleaning service: transparency, respect for boundaries, and focused execution. We believe you should know exactly how your data is handled.

Evaluation Method Note

This policy is evaluated on three principles: Minimal Collection (we only take what's necessary to do the job), Clear Purpose (every data point has a defined, practical use), and User Control (you can access, correct, or delete your data at any time). We limit data retention to the legally required period for business records in Colombia.

What We Collect (and, Just as Importantly, What We Don't)

Our data collection is strictly operational. We don't track your browsing habits across the web, nor do we use your data for advertising.

Real Scenario

The Office Manager's Request

An office manager in Chapinero needs weekly cleaning for 15 employees. She calls our line. We collect the address, contact person, and floor plan. No website browsing. No profile. The data stays on her service file until the contract ends, then is anonymized for aggregate reporting.

How We Use and Protect Your Information

Every piece of data we collect serves a direct operational purpose. Here is the complete breakdown of its use and our protective measures.

Primary Uses

  • Scheduling, dispatching, and routing cleaning teams efficiently.
  • Generating accurate quotes based on property specifics.
  • Processing payments and issuing invoices for legal compliance in Colombia.
  • Sending service confirmations and follow-up satisfaction surveys.

Security Measures

  • Data encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest.
  • Access restricted to essential staff (schedulers, billing).
  • Regular security audits of our booking platform.
  • No third-party marketing shares. We never sell data.

Third-Party Sharing

We share minimal data only with service-critical partners: our payment processor (Mercado Pago/Stripe) and, if a client requests a specific cleaning solution we don't stock, a licensed supplier for product delivery. Both are bound by strict data protection agreements.

Your Rights Over Your Data

Under Colombian data protection laws (Ley 1581 de 2011), you hold rights over your personal data. We respect these rights and provide clear, direct avenues to exercise them.

1

Access & Portability

Request a copy of all data we hold about you (e.g., service history, contact details) in a commonly used format.

2

Correction

Ask us to update any inaccurate personal information (e.g., a new phone number or address).

3

Deletion

Request the erasure of your personal data, subject to our legal obligations to maintain certain business records for tax and audit purposes in Colombia.

A Real-World Privacy Scenario

How does this policy play out in practice? Consider this common situation for a client in Bogotá.

Scenario: Post-Renovation Deep Clean
1.
Initial Inquiry: A homeowner in Usaquén calls after a kitchen remodel. She provides her address and contact details. This data is logged in our CRM solely for scheduling.
2.
Service & Payment: Our team cleans. The payment is processed via our secure partner. We store only the transaction ID and last 4 digits for our accounting records (required for 5 years by Colombian tax law).
3.
Post-Service: She receives an automated satisfaction survey. We do not add her to any marketing newsletter. Her data remains inactive unless she rebooks.
4.
Two Years Later: She decides she no longer wishes for us to hold her personal contact details. She submits a deletion request via the contact form. We verify her identity and comply, retaining only the anonymized service records for statistical analysis.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our operations or the law. The most recent version will always be posted on this page, with the effective date noted below. For material changes, we will notify active clients via email.
